Are church buildings not the components of the property? |
Church buildings alone are not the components of the property. Except for ‘Remains of Hara Castle’ and ‘Kasuga Village and Sacred Places in Hirado’, the components include church buildings as elements that bear testimony to the end of Hidden Christians’ tradition. The components are delineated as villages including not only the churches but also the sites of Hidden Christian leaders’ houses, graveyards, Shinto shrines, Buddhist temples, etc. |
